With Brillo, Google wades further into the Internet of Things

Despite several forays into the IoT, including the acquisition of Nest and the launch of Android Auto, the giant of the Internet has not really made its presence felt yet. The announcement of Brillo OS for smart home devices is a further step in this direction and the strongest indication yet that Google intends to be a major player in the connected home.
