In October 2015 Machina Research published a comprehensive guide to Mobile Network Operator (MNO) plans for 2G and 3G switch off, which was updated in April. Because of the criticality of these decisions, and the fact that it is an actively changing market, we believe it is important to maintain a regular communication of changes to operator strategies as they occur. This Research Note presents our revised views on the likely lifespan of such networks.
