This Research Note describes the work of See.Sense, a small British start-up which makes connected bicycle lights. These lights are capable of collecting data about a range of city-relevant issues including road condition, cycle usage and safety, temperature and light levels, and potentially air pollution. Trials are underway to use the lights as end-points in a smart city data collection network.
