A number of regulators around the world, particularly in Europe, have chosen to implement dedicated numbering schemes for M2M. This Research Note is based on data from our recent survey of global regulators contained in our M2M and IoT Regulation Database. It analyses the current regulatory situation relating to M2M numbering initiatives, examines the motivations behind implementing such as scheme, and provides Machina Research’s view on whether such schemes are worthwhile.
