The evolution from physical removable SIMs to embedded and the increasing demand from customers for a single solution is driving OTA SIM management initiatives. MNOs are only starting to get to grips with the implications that this shift might have for how they manage their customers. This research note examines the evolution of the SIM, the demand for OTA provisioning and looks at whether this heralds a new threat in terms of increased churn for M2M.
