Opensensors offers an open source approach to IoT platform development
Many IoT applications tend to be based on unique, proprietary developments that are tailored to the specific application and even client that is involved. There are few re-usable elements, which tends to increase costs and reduce flexibility. There is no overall semantic framework to enable these standards to be used over a defined set of interfaces. This Research Note describes the efforts of small London-based start-up Opensensors to address this issue by developing an IoT platform entirely based on open source software.
