Though not alone, Parametric Technologies Inc. (PTC) has been one of the leading enterprises in bringing product design and product and service lifecycle management (PLM and SLM) capabilities to life for the benefit of their customers’ products and services. Others would include Evrythng and Flexeye, both with a slightly different focus though.

This Research Note shares how PTC has strategically and tactically acquired and put together such IoT building blocks as Axeda, ThingWorx, Coldlight, and Vuforia, and have now come full circle with a compelling digital twin capability, set to impress product designers and their customers, and further accelerate the application and implementation of IoT.
